Our Team
Jeff Yang
Jeff Yang is the Founder and Artistic Director of In The Realm of Senses. He is a violinist born in Taiwan and has four degrees in music and industrial engineering. He has always strived to find a balance between the arts and the sciences.
Currently, Yang is the owner of the Chicago Strings violin shop in Evanston where he deals with fine instruments and helps professional musicians through his expertise. He is an active member of Chicago Philharmonic and can be often seen with various ensembles throughout Chicago.

Board Member - TreasurerRew Otto Gordon
Rew Otto Gordon is a Queer cultural Curator from Chicago. They are the founder of Mitchell Street Arts, an award winning contemporary/ community art center in Milwaukee, WI. Their work often centers activating public space and turning strangers into co-conspirators. Previous engagements have been at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and SALT Galata Istanbul.
Rew holds a masters degree from Northwestern University in Creative Enterprises and an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College in Art & Education.
Board memberMatthew Cummins
Matthew Huang Cummins has built a career around bridging the worlds of art, science, manufacturing, and education. In addition to being an Adjunct Instructor at Northwestern University and as an e-learning consultant, Matthew is currently Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago.
Prior to his art and teaching, Matthew spent ten years consulting with global manufacturing and design companies on creative uses of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and KBE (Knowledge-Based Engineering) software.

Mark has almost 40 years of experience in higher education as a dynamic thought leader and a skilled program manager. He currently serves as a licensed Relationship Banker at JPMorgan Chase.
